CFDEM®coupling - User Forum

Hello CFDEM users,

Hi All,

I met a post-processing problems after CFDEM running. After the coupling running, two figures will bump up and I could check the results in paraview, however, sometimes if I close the figures and paraview, the dump*.** files in the DEM/post will disappear. It happens sometimes but not always! I am not sure where is the problem. Does anyone else have the same problem, and how to fix it? Thanks so much for the help and suggestions!

Hello Dr. Goniva/ cfdem users,

I compiled successfully the cfdem src with the comp switch 'on' and then compiled cfdemSolverPisoScalar solver which also compiled successfully. When I ran the 'packedBedTemp' tutorial, It gives error. Is this case tested tested or have I ignored something. The log file is attached herewith.

I am looking for an solver like interFoam + DEM. Could you have any helpful information.
I am not sure if it is difficult to implement this solver. Can it be implemented by referring to
solver cfdemSolverPiso to do same ways with existed classes. Does it need to create new
classes for multiphase solver.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

This is my first time to use ubuntu system and openfoam, i have installed OpenFOAM-2.2.x and it can work smoothly. But my purpose is to use the CFDEM coupling, and I tried some times but failed to use the CFDEM coupling sinulation.

Concering the postprocess of the simulation, i want to install these softwares one time, but have no complete step by step processures. Is there anyone could help me and give me a complete installation on mp ubuntu ?

i have a problem the compiling of LIGGGHTS after typing the cmmand cfdemCompLIG.
It shows up an error which i dont understand. Here is a part of it.

Hey, i am totally new in CFDEM and i have already problems with the installation of CFDEM. i followed the instructions on githubAccess_public.pdf but there is still a problem:

after i updated CFDEM coupling (which was not needed to be updated) i wantedt to set the environmental variables. i followed the instructions and add the lines in the ~/.bashrc but there is still the message that there is no directory after i typed in the other commands:
$CFDEM_PROJECT_DIR
$CFDEM_SRC_DIR
$CFDEM_LIGGGHTS_SRC_DIR

what went wrong? i appreciate your help and advices!
