cfdemSysTest -command not found!

Submitted by almonds22 on Mon, 10/13/2014 - 12:45

Hi All,

I went through the CFDEM coupling pdf guide, and I followed the instructions in an attempt to compile LIGGGHTS(R) and CFDEM(R) compiling. However, prior to that the "cfdemSysTest" command didn't work, instead the following message pops up:

If 'cfdemSysTest' is not a typo you can run the following command to lookup the package that contains the binary:
command-not-found cfdemSysTest
-bash: cfdemSysTest: command not found

I have OpenFoam 2.3.x. installed, and the latest cfdem package straight from github.

The simulation of sediment transport with CFDEM

Submitted by elham.nasiri on Fri, 10/10/2014 - 15:36

Hello Dear users
Good time.
I am a new user of CFDEM project. I am going to use CFDEM for simulation of sediment transport.
I have some questions. Please help me.

- What is the CFDEM solver for simulation of sediment transport?
- Can I use one of the exiting examples in CFDEM tutorial and change it?
- How do I mesh in CFD and DEM sections? Does the site contain particles is defined and mesh is given in CFD section? OR does the site contain fluid is defined and mesh is given in DEM section?
- How do I select the number of particles in DEM?

Hello all,

I am trying to write a new solver to include solid reaction, so I wrote a new force model by changing the model for convection and I modified the solver cfdemPisoScalar to include 3 species, the effect the thermal diffusivity change in the temperature scalar equation, and a rotating frame of reference. here the equations

CFDEM compile error - mkdir: cannot create directory ‘’: No such file or directory

Hi,

I have problems compiling CFDEM. The solution to a similar problem (http://www.cfdem.com/forums/update-cfdem-251-compile-error) did not help.
The first error of this kind happens at the end of the submodel compilation.

error with transportproperties when run coupling

Submitted by wangyin47 on Fri, 09/05/2014 - 10:37

Hi, there

When I ran my own case manually, I encountered errors as follows,
1. can you please check it and help me fix it?
2. CFDEMcoupling allows a multi-phase property definition in OpenFOAM?, e.g., air and water phases?

many thanks in advance!
