Hi,
I've built LIGGGHTS with the ASPHERE package and was able to generate an ellipsoid particle, but I'm struggling to find how to use a dump command to output data like the shape diameters and the quaternion to define orientation. I'm using "atom_style hybird granular ellipsoid"
Any help anyone could provide would be appreciated, thank you.
Hi all,
I'm trying to setting a variable heat source depending on particle temperature i've read that this is a task that it can be accomplished with the new version of liggghts, so here is my code:

Hi guys,
I am working on the simulation of discharging of particles from a flat bottom hopper. When the discharging is completed, there are one layer of particle sticking to the cylindrical walls. (please see the attached figure). I also attached the meterial properties that i used. Does some one work on similar topics and know the problem? Thank you.
Hi all,
When i run the liggghts examples, it is showing the following error:
liggghts: error while loading shared libraries: libmpi_cxx.so.0: wrong ELF class : ELFCLASS32
I have given the path also.
Please someone help me to solve this.
Regards,
Narendra

This is the first time I've visited the site in several months, and while the new design looks good, it appears that many of the links are missing/broken? None of the "LIGGGHTS features" links have any pictures associated with them, and I can't find any of the downloads.
Am I missing something?
Hi!
Is it possible to fix the position of a few atoms, i.e. the atoms should not move even when the other atoms hit them. so, in a sense the atoms behave as walls but are not continuous?

Hello,
I have an issue where particles are breaking through my mesh. I believe my moving mesh is pushing/ squeezing particles into the stationary mesh. I understand that there could be many reasons that cause this issue but I think it has to do with the warning: "WARNING: Fix mesh: Mesh contains highly skewed element, moving mesh (if used) will not parallelize well (../surface_mesh_I.h:484)".
read_data add seems to be not working in version 3.0.0 :( GIving an error of illegal read_data command.
Hi There
Have LIGGGHTS installed on MAC Mavericks and it compiles with the RIGID module only correctly
However many packages I include I cannot see any of the pair styles for granular work - e.g. pair style gran hooke etc
I have reinstalled a number of times and can compile OK and it runs, but can never access these functions
Am I missing something obvious here ??
What are the minimum packages required for Granular modelling
Any help much appreciated
