optimal coupling interval time

Hello! I am really confused, I am running a really simple simulation , a square box filled with particles (that can't leave the box), inlet in a lateral wall, outlet on the opposite wall.
I am interested in to measure the difference of pressure between inlet and outlet walls.
Things work well, but if I change the coupling time-step from 100 to 10 (and the OF time-step accordingly) the pressure just increases crazily (almost 5 times) and the particles inside the square box start to be compressed against the outlet wall.

Post processing of voidfraction

Hi,
I would like to know how to get the void-fraction value of different CFD cells.
I tried using fill cylinder tutorial as reference but its not executing successfully .
I can managed to get the value through probes at different points but would like to get the paraview plot at all cfd cells with fix particles at different positions.
Is it possible to get the solutions in VKT form in CFD cells like folder 0 similar to OpenFoam?

Please help.

Strange issues concerning PeriodicChannel tutorial

Hi,
When running the periodic channel tutorial I encounter some issues which sounds quite peculiar. I’ve attached the complete log file but here just point out the issues:

1) On line 277 of the log, it’s written
--> FOAM Warning : Periodic handing is disabled because the domain is not fully periodic!
How can this be!!!

Some compilation issues

Hi,
1) when trying to compile the cfdem coupling, I had to comment out:
include $(CFDEM_ADD_LIBS_DIR)/additionalLibs_vtk
in etc/addLibs_universal/additionalLibs_3.0.x, otherwise I was getting complains concerning path to vtk of the machine. It is mentioned that this is an optional setting, but what would I be able to do with this option activated.

Voidfraction Postprocessing

Hello,

After a LIGGGHTS calculation (of filling particles into a box) I'd like to calculate the void fraction. This should be done in a postprocessing step. (Later on I want to wiggle the box and look at the change of the void fraction.) In earlier versions of LIGGGHTS, CFDEM and openFOAM I used the files of the fillCylinder tutorial as a guideline but the fillCylinder tutorial does not work any more. I get:
--> FOAM FATAL ERROR: setCG() not executed correctly!

CFDEMcoupling version: cfdem-3.6.0
OF version: 3.0.x

si-cgs scale conversion

Hello, I am trying to change si scale to cgs. I made the change in liggghts side and in OF part, but I am having some different behaviours. I run the settlingTestMPI using two different values for the kinematic viscosity in both cases and plotted v_y velociy as a function of time.
In liggghts side I changed unit, diameter, density, gravity and young modulus.
