Preparation for Training

Hello,

I was wondering how best to prepare for the upcoming CFDEM training. What kind of material would be good to know to make it easier to follow through the training?

Hi Nahid,

in my opinion an understanding of how to work with an Ubuntu systems (GUI and terminal) and basic C++ knowledge is beneficial, but not necessary. However it can help keeping the focus more on the more interesting aspects of the course. For the CFDEM side it is of course good to have and idea of the LIGGGHTS side. OpenFOAM experience is also nice to have, but will be a part of the course as well. Post-processing with paraview will be a part too.
So depending on the time you have, I'd say handling Ubuntu and some C++ are the basis.

Which parts of the courses will you be a part of, and have you experience in one or more of the above topics?

Cheers,
Josef
