How to exert an unmoved wall which can be penetrated by soil particles

Submitted by Zheng Hu on Thu, 10/19/2017 - 20:40

Dear all,

I want to investigate a problem about soil particles movement. First, in LIGGGHTS, I applied six stl. mesh wall to exert confining pressure on a cube specimen of soil particles. Then I applied CFDEM to scour the soil particles and see whether the particles can be removed under the effect of seepage flow.

Hallo,
I want to insert particles with a mass rate of 1e-6kg/s to my computational domain. I tried to do so by using the following command:

fix ins nve_group insert/stream seed 5330 distributiontemplate pdd1 &
massrate 1.0e-6 start 50000 overlapcheck yes all_in no vel constant 0.0 -10.0 0.0 &
