Hello everyone,

I am beginer in CFD-DEM. I want to simulate the movement of soil particles under fluid flow.

Firstly, I generated the flow channel using Blender. Next, I used HYLEX-OS for CFD. After that, I used LIGGGHTS to create the particles. I have a problem when generating a flatbed.

Please help me solve it, if you have documents related to this problem, please share them with me.

When using CFDEM, I continuously encounter errors, and the simulation cannot run properly. Below is the error message.

“Selecting momCoupleModel: implicitCouple
Construct implicitCouple model...
ERROR on proc 6: Illegal length used in CfdDatacouplingMPI::allocate_external (../cfd_datacoupling_mpi.cpp:160)”

Please help me.

Why is there a file named addSource in the zero folder of CFD?
Its unit is, if I'm not wrong, Pa/s.
Is there anything related to some equation? I could find any explanation for that.

i have CFD-DEM simulation case for the mixture of ingredients in salami production. I'm kind of new to CFDEMCoupling software. Is it somehow possible to simulate the water diffusion into the particles which present minced meat? Is there already a solver which would do similar stuff like that?

I would appreciate every hint about how can that be done.

I found the code related to Superquadric in cfdemSolverIB, as follows:

#include "cfdemCloudIB.H"
#if defined(superquadrics_flag)
#include "cfdemCloudIBSuperquadric.H"
#endif

It is obvious that the solver is considering the simulation of Superquadric, but "cfdemCloudIBSuperquadric.H" does not exist in src. How does this work? How can I simulate Superquadric in CFDEM?

I am interested in using the PFM version of the cfdem coupled model. However, I need some help with the compilation process and changes that are required to be made in the bashrc file.

Testing cyclic conditions for cfdemsolverIB. No errors, but results are unphysical and consistent with cyclic CFD and DEM, but non periodic CFD/DEM coupling. Minimal example and plot included.

I am using a multi-sphere model and want to fix the multi-sphere model with fix freeze, but this will cause the multi-sphere to disappear. Is there any way to hold the multi-sphere model in place?
