PhD studentship: Computational modeling and simulation of orodispersible tablet compaction

Submitted by PayamK on Thu, 05/02/2019 - 15:55

A PhD studentship is available at Kingston University London.

This PhD research is intended to use particle-based techniques such as discrete element method to model the compaction behavior of sustained release pellets in orodispersible tablet’s matrices. Experimental results will be directly adopted in the development of numerical simulation models to quantify the evolution of local mechanical properties of pellets in ODTs’ matrices during compaction.

The project is in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde in the UK.

Application deadline: 19 May 2019

Dear all, as an open-source project we work with a large user base around the world. Because of this a lot of people are in need for support to work with LIGGGHTS(R) and CFDEM(R)coupling and this often happens via the forums here at cfdem.com. Since we at DCS cannot handle all those requests we also rely on the community to help out. We realize that this takes time and dedication and want to say thank you to those users. To further recognize the contributions made by you we will award a free ticket for the CFDEMconference in March 2019 in Linz.
