I need to find particles that contact with each particle in each time step as a list in my dump file.
Is there any compute syntax that can give me this array as an output?

Hi,
I'm pretty new to LIGGGHTS and I'm trying to incorporate heat transfer from an intruder placed within a granular system and the grains themselves.
The intruder is a simple creation and just made of a set of particles stuck together. So far I've only been able to set these particles that make up the intruder to an initial temperature that then cools as the heat dissipates into the surrounding granular bulk. But I want to fix the temperature of the intruder so that it remains at a constant temperature to assess how it dissipates heat through the granular bulk over time.

Im using a contact model that does not include viscoelastic damping for normal contact (Thornton&Ning). I would like to be able to turn on contact damping. Is there some fix or way of adding viscoelastic contact damping or should I go into the code and implement it?

A segmentation error occurs in the calculation of cohesive particles.

There is already a topic, but I couldn't solve it, so please advise.

Is it possible to dump the LIGGGHTS output files into the vtm, pvd format?
I think pvd used for the summarizing the time step information and vtm used for dumping the data into some particular post folder

I recently installed LIGGGHTS on Ubuntu and run the example simulation.Then i wanted to run my own simulation so i created the 3D model and wrote the script using the LIGGGHTS official Documentation but when i am running it it is giving me a error:

"ERROR:Could not find fix group ID(../modify.cpp:782)"

My script is:-

I am trying to simulate a wet powder and calculate the friction between the substrate and the powder.

I'm trying to calculate the friction force from the spring force.
This is a simple model.
Spring the substrate and the block together and move the block. This creates friction between the block and the powder. This is calculated as the spring force equals the friction.

Now the "fix insert/pack" command doesn't work for creating particles.

I've posted the file and would like your advice.
