I tried the fix aveforce without success.

Servo mesh behaves after restart like a usual wall which doesn't react to a changing contact force.

Hi everybody,

currently i am trying to simulate a bucket elevator. I am interested in the forces on the buckets.
To speed up the simulation i import the buckets as soon as they are needed. Therefore I have to unfix and refix the meshes with the wall/gran fix.

The force on the buckets are written to a file with the ave/time fix.
If I take a carefull look at the results, I can find a jump in the forces every time i unfix and refix the wall/gran command.

Dear my friends,

I am running a simulation using write/read_restart. When using read_restart, I want to resize the domain of simulation created in the RESTART FILE. Is there any solution for this case ?

Hello everyone,

I am looking for opinions or insights on the capabilities of LIGGGHTS to model fine particles/powders. Has anyone developed or worked with models involving the phenomena (cohesion, van der waals, etc) that arises from considering fine particles?

Any comments on this topic will be of help since I am no expert on the subject.

Can LIGGGHTS run on any cloud service such as Amazon EC2?

I want to bond several particles into a whole, then give it a horizontal velocity in granular system and observe its vertical movement. May it be possible with LIGGGHTS?
