Error in Installing CFDEM workbench Starter

I have downloaded the link and when I run the file it gives me error that " Can not connect correctly to the internet. Please check if your PC is online"

My PC was connected to the internet as I have downloaded that starter file (CFDEMworkbenchSTARTER_v2.1.0 - 728 MB) . I unable to understand this error as my PC is connected to the internet properly still I am getting such kind of error.

Please suggest the solution.

Hi Suraj,

can you make this simple check?
Open the Command Prompt and type "ping www.google.com -n 1 -w 1000". What are you seeing (send us a screenshot as above)?

Another question: do you need a proxy server to connect to Internet? To test this please open your browser and type http://amibehindaproxy.com/.
What are you seeing in the Proxyserver line?

I checked for the proxy server.

It showed me that " You do not have any proxy server or internet filtering activated"

I have attached snapshot for reference.

Hi Suraj,

it sounds rather strange. Can you do a final test for us?
Open Internet Explorer (no Firefox, no Chrome,...,only IE) and type www.wyday.com. Are you able to connect to that website?

Hi Suraj,

maybe we have a solution.
It looks like your firewall does not allow to ping external websites (we are using ping for a rough test to see if the Internet connection is on). So:
1) follow the instructions of this link https://kb.iu.edu/d/aopy to enable the echo for ping
2) if you don't have the specific rule you can create a temporary new one to accomplish this (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/h...)
If this works you can restore the old situation in your firewall: after the installation we are using ping no longer.
Let me know if it works.

I tried the solution given by you. It Works. That was the problem of internet connection. Now I am able to Install the program.

But while installing the software I have faced errors.
1) ms-MPI up gradadtion error
2)MSVCR120.dll is missing

hence i was not able to start the program. Please suggest.

I have attached all the errors and log file with this post.
