Hello all,
I work on shear fault and I would like to use LIGGGHTS to simulate it. Files (.stl and in.) are in the attachments.
Currently top and bottom plates are smooth but I would like to have rough one.
I would like to glue particles with those plate before shearing.
I have downloaded LIGGGHTS_Flexible_Fibers version and I would like to know if it is possible to glue particles and mesh. And if it is possible how.
I stay available
Regards
Alexandre Sac--Morane

bonds with meshes
Hello,
It is not possible with the current code to bond particles to a mesh element.
You could create a top plate of spheres, move this group of spheres like your current mesh, and you would be able to bond the particles with other particles.

Thanks you
Ok I will do this
Is it possible to compute force applied on this group (to get a friction coefficient)?
I have tried compute group/group but I get an ERROR : Pair style does not support compute group/group (../compute_group_group.cpp:146).
For your information my pair_style:
