Dear all,
I am wondering whether we have a method about monitoring the permeability of the particles specimen. As far as I know, we can monitor the quantity of flow in the outlet boundary to calculate the permeability of the specimen manually. However, I haven't found a command about outputing the quantity of outflow. Could someone tell me which command should I use? or is there any possibility that we output the permeability of the specimen directly?
Thanks you very much!
Regards,
Rachel

From Flow velocity
Hi Rachel,
Just simple extract the velocity at the output of your domain. This can be done by a number of approaches, for example using a post-processing tool on Paraview. Then using the velocity and the area of the flow domain to calculate permeability.

Thanks for your suggestion
Hi Nathan,
Thanks for your kind suggestion. I am not very familiar with Paraview, so could you please give me a detailed step-by-step instruction about how to extract the velocity of a certain domain. Thank you very much.
Best,
Rachel
