Dear CFDEM developers,
i am verty interested in the resolved CFD-DEM coupling scheme (IB method). As the cfdemSolverIB solver is for single fluid phase, I wonder is it possible to extend the solver so that we can model multi-phase flow interaction with DEM particles? On the CFD side, IB method is already implemented in openFoam 1.6-ext, and a multi-phase solver interIBFoam is also available. But I guess its implementation is different from the IB method in the CFDEM scheme.
How do we change the pressure Equation , U Equation and alpha Equation (VOF method), could you please give some advice, or related journal papers (I searched through http://www.sciencedirect.com but couldn't find any clue).
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
David Long

OK, I managed to solve
OK, I managed to solve alphaEqn on whole domain (gas + liquid + solid phase).

alphaEqn
Hello David,
Can you please tell how do you resolve alphaEqn.H? I have created separate thread also to discuss this.

Hi David,
Hi David,
I'm quite interested in the VOF-IB method. Great to hear that you have solved your problem.
Would you please share more details? Maybe some references or your publications?
Thanks in advance,
Jing
