hi, all
now i want to simulate this process that single particle impinges on the bonded material to see the micro-crack on the material. so, i want to know whether it is hard to simulate the bonded material like ceramics with the relative properties. thanks.
cheers

you mean simulating ceramics
you mean simulating ceramics with peridynamics or related models or with something like a granular bond model?
in the former case, I would have a look at the LAMMPS doc for peridynamics, and in the latter case, see here: node/525

granular bond model
Hi Christoph
thanks for your reply.
i just want to simulate a workpiece, like glass, quartz or ceramics, with proper material properties, such as possion rate, hardness and Young's modulus. just like the esys_particle software, by using proper microscopic parameters between the bonded particle, the macroscopic properties of this material can be obtained.
so does the granular bond model can be used for this purpose?
thanks.
