Hi All,
When I went through the case of packedBedTemp, I have some questions.
1. In the couplingProperties file, for LaEuScalarTempProps, it writes
LaEuScalarTempProps
{
velFieldName "U";
tempFieldName "T";
voidfractionFieldName "voidfraction";
tempSourceFieldName "Tsource";
partTempName "Temp";
partHeatFluxName "convectiveHeatFlux";
lambda 0.0256;
Cp 1007;
densityFieldName "rho";
}
But I could not find the "Temp" and "convectiveHeatFlux" file.
2. For the meshMotionModel, if the DEM geometry is moving, however, the CFD mesh is still. Here I should use the noMeshMotion option or other options?
3. I would like to use different CFD and DEM geometry. And I import .stl file into DEM and .msh file into CFD. So could the coupling work for this case?
Thanks for any idea or support!

Hi,
Hi,
>>But I could not find the "Temp" and "convectiveHeatFlux" file.
that's the names used for exchanging temperature data between LIGGGHTS and CFDEMcoupling.
>>For the meshMotionModel, if the DEM geometry is moving, however, the CFD mesh is still.
mesh motion model is not in the release - we had a bsaic version once, but stopped its development as no funding could be raised for that.
>>I would like to use different CFD and DEM geometry. And I import .stl file into DEM and .msh file into CFD. So could the coupling work for this case?
yes, that should work.

Hi Chris
Hi Chris,
Thank you so mcuh for your comments on the problems. I am now working on the rotary dryer, and would like to couple CFD to simulate the particle heating. So could I use the "nomeshmotion" model, since DEM geometry is moving and CFD geometry, which I would like to import cylinder as coupling area, is still.
Thanks!
