Hi all,
I looked in manual and found "partition" command for dividing the total area into multiple partitions, each partition is assigned a different number processors. But I could not exactly understand how? If anyone knows, please tell me how!

Hi Elham,

LIGGGHTS(R) assigns N processors to the x/y/z directions, where Nx * Ny * Nz = N, and Nx Ny Nz can be controlled via the "processors" command.
The "partition" command is for now more a placeholder...there are some LAMMPS functionalities that profit from it, but in LIGGGHTS there are not really features associated to it (but there might be in the future)

Hi Christoph,
Thanks so much.
Can be the simulation box divided into several partitions and the particles be created in each partition separately. Then again, all partitions returned to simulation box?
