without controlDict.foam file after performing simulations

Hello,

I am trying to conduct some simulations with a developed solver from OPENFOAM. It seems the simulation could be run. However, I could not find the file of controlDict.foam in the directory of system. Should I defined something in the source codes? Thanks.

Hi,

the mentioned file is usually not autocreated, but just a sign for paraview to recognize the data as openfoam data. You can obtain it by for example copying and renaming the controlDict (however, any empty file with the ending .foam will do as well!).
