Hi all,
I am trying to figure out what the rho value in the 0 folder indicates. In the "Periodic Channel" tutorial case for "cfdemSolverPiso" the rho value is set to 1.3 kg/m^3, however is this the density of the fluid or the particle (neither seems to be realistic values) ? However, in the "settlingTestMPI" and the "voidfractionTest" tutorial cases for the "cfdemSolverPiso" the rho values is set to 10 kg/m^3.
Maybe one of you can help me solving my confusion about the constant rho.
Cheers,
Jeppe

It is the fluid density field
It is the fluid density field value.

Need clarification regarding rho, U_s file in the zero folder
I am currently working with CFDEM and had a few doubts regarding the files present in the "0" directory, specifically related to rho, U, and U_s.
rho File: As I understand, this file contains the fluid density. However, I am a bit confused about its role, especially since the fluid properties are also defined in the transportProperties file. Could you kindly clarify the purpose of the rho file and how it relates to the parameters defined in transportProperties? because the value i specify in the internal field it takes as a density.
U File: I believe this file is used to specify the initial velocity field for the fluid phase, which is clear.
U_s File: I am not fully clear about the purpose of this file. As far as I understand, it might represent the solid phase velocity, but I am unsure about how to specify or interpret the values in this file. Could you please explain its significance and how the velocity is defined here?
