unresolved CFD-DEM particle size and mesh cell size

Dear all,

We know that the unresolved CFD-DEM is applicable if the particle size is much smaller than the mesh cell size. However I'm not sure about the mesh cell size used in the following CFDEM's case studies shown here: http://www.cfdem.com/4-way-unresolved-cfd-dem

But I noticed that several case studies have large particle diameters. i.e. according to the webpage I stated in the previous paragraph, is the larger red particle in "large scale fluidized bed reactor" and "polydisperse particles from a conveyor" larger than the fluid cells ? Could you comment on the fluid cell size and these larger red particles ?

Another example is the "partly fluidized bed" where the particles look very large compared to the finer particles in say "large scale fluidized bed reactor" ?

Many thanks!
