is there a way to dump the deformation of a sphere when applying the multicontact/halfspace? And then show it in paraview?

no this is currently not possible. If you want to code such a feature you should look at the fix pair/gran/local and pair_gran_local_base.h where mcFix is set and used to extend radi and radj.
