Hello everyone!! I am a new to liggghts and have installed and successfully running my simulation. The only issue is that liggghts uses 1 by 1 by 1 mpi grid set up even though I give command mpirun -np 8 .................
I am using Ubuntu 18.04 on a 12 logical core system. Someone please help.

Hello,
Could you post your log file/input script or a minimum working example?
I have not run into this problem.
Also, you may wish to only give liggghts physical cores. Our lab saw a speed improvement by turning off hyper threading and only giving LIGGGHTS the number of physical cores.

Thanks for your reply. I have attached a screenshot of the terminal when I run my simulation. You can see the grid division is 1 by 1 by 1 even though I have used 8 cores in the running command.
