Hi,
I have been looking around with possible packages that could be applicable for my problem. After hours of google-fu, I arrived at LAMMPS and eventually here. Hence, I want to know if it could be possible to achieve what I am looking for with CFDEM.
What I am trying to do is looking at reactive transport for flow through porous media (sorry I'm repeating the title). As a starting point, I want to see if I could simulate multiphase NS flow through a channel, include mixing and non-mixing cases. Then on top of that, if I could add convection-diffusion equation to couple the growth of the chemical substances on the surfaces that would be the final goal (or even the end of my PhD - haha who am I kidding...?).
Anyhow, before spending hours of dwelling into LIGGGHTS, I want to know if it is possible to achieve the final goal stretch? I have spent sometime with the LAMMPS user package USER-SPH (since most of my simulation will be with SPH formulations), so before jumping onto another bandwagon I want to learn if there *could* be an exit at the end of the tunnel.
Please accept my apologise if the content is unappropriate.
Many thanks,
Quang
