Is there more information regarding this new addition?
I have been using the dump2force python script for force-chain visualisation, but it has some drawbacks.
A quick example for the new functionality would be great.

Hi AndresMM,
Hi AndresMM,
it's all in the doc ;-) you could find it out by reading the doc and then post it to the "contributed examples" to help others :-)

Hi AndresMM
Hi AndresMM,
Do you know how to use the liggghts 3.4.0/3.4.1 to get the force chain? Could you do me a favor to tell me how to do it?
best regards,
ZHAO

You have to compute the force
You have to compute the force chains, and then dump them
compute FCcalc all pair/gran/local id pos force
dump FCdump all local/gran/vtk 5000 ../DEM/post/forcechain*.vtk FCcalc

Thanks
Hi,
I have outputed the vtk file as you suggested, however just using filters-cube, I still cannot distinguish different contact force with different width of the force chain. Would it be convenient for you to give any detailed instruction about how realize this function? Thank you very much!
Best,
Rachel
