Huge RAM consumption of resolved CFD-DEM method

Hi

I am using a "resolved" CFD-DEM method with the solver "cfdemSolverIB" to simulate particles migration in porous media. The problem is that the simulation uses huge memory. When I used 48 processors with a total memory of 192GB (4G per processor), the maximum number of particles that could be injected into the system is around 214. Then I increased to 72 processors with a total memory of 288GB (4G per processor), the simulation also stopped when 214 particles were injected. It looks like the maximum number of particles I can inject depends on the memory of each processor.
I used the "neigh_modify" to change the bin size, and the result does not change. Is there any suggestion or clue that can help me reduce the memory usage and inject more particles in the system? Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards
