Formating the force chains with varying thicknesses depending upon the magnitude of forces

Hi,

I am trying to format the force chains with varying width according to the magnitude of the forces following the procedure described by richti83 in the following link:

https://www.cfdem.com/forums/how-show-width-lines-corresponding-magnitud...

it says like this:

richti83 | Tue, 06/30/2015 - 12:50
1st) Install ParaView 4.3.1

1st) Install ParaView 4.3.1 (64bit binary is fine)
2nd) Download Reader Plugin: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/richti83/ParaView_Reader_for_LIGGGHTS/...
3rd) Tools->Manage Plugins->Load New, Point to downloaded libliggghts_forcechainreader.so
Open post/fc*.dump, choose "LIGGGHTS Forcechain files" in upcoming file choosing dialog
4th) attach a CellDataToPoint Data Filter
5th) attach Tube filter to CDTPD-Filter (see step 4)
6th) set Vary Radius of Tube filter to "By Vector" and choose Vectors F in 2nd drop down box
play with Radius Factor to get right ratio ..

i have also looked at the following link:

https://www.cfdem.com/forums/formatting-force-chains-so-their-thickness-...

However, i am unsuccessful to vary the force chain width with the magnitude of the forces.

could anyone help me on this?

Thanks!

To vary the width of force chains in ParaView, load your force chain data using the LIGGGHTS Reader Plugin, then apply a Cell Data to Point Data filter followed by a Tube filter. Set the Tube filter's Vary Radius option to By Vector and select the force vector, adjusting the Radius Factor for the desired thickness representation.
