Hello Community,
I am quite new to LIGGGHTS but I'll give it a trial.
I am going to simulate particles (metal particles or sand) in a rotating drum with DEM and ontop there should be the heat transfer and conduction from particle-particle and particale-wall. These particles are bulk materials and have a temperature from 1000-1400 °C. The aim is cool down the particles to approx. 150 °C.
The rotating drum is cooled indirect with water from the outside
I am using LIGGGHTS 3.x and I have following questions. I am not getting changes in particle temperature, How can I access heatFlux Tempetare, particle temperature and as a result in Paraview 5.4.0. ?
Attached there is my script.-file Could someone check it and comment if it is setup properly. Thanks alot in advance
Best regards
David

Hi Dave,
Hi Dave,
I don't have your meshes, so I could not test if it works. But you have defined your mesh twice and called it "cad1" once and the other time "heat". But you assigned only to "heat" a temperature, not to "cad1", which you later use in the wall gran model. That is most probably the reason why your particles do not cool down.
I am quite sure it will work if you change it.
