Hi all

I'd like to work CFD-DEM coupling out. But I can't find useful literature. Does a description on 2-way and 4-way coupling exist (mathematical description)? I found nothing about that on the net. General detailed literature about CFD-DEM i.e. books, (professorial) dissertation? In papers the information is often fragmentary and very short.

Thanks for information.
Claudio

Hi

Does two-way coupling specify the interactions between fluid and particle? And is the four-way coupling composed of the particle-particle interaction and the particle-wall interaction and the two-way coupling? Is that correct?

Cheers
Claudio

Hi,

I think two-way coupling is fluid-solid phase interaction.

Four-way coupling is particle-particle collision + two-way coupling.

Maybe you can use Euler-Lagrangian as key work to find related literature.

Thanks.

Hi rq

With the keyword Euler-Lagrangian I've found a dissertation from T. Frank, a postdoctoral lecture qualification from M. Sommerfeld and an other book on this topic from T. Frank.

Thanks
