coarse graining effect on pressure drop

Hi everyone,
I am studying the effect of coarse graining on the pressure drop of a packed bed in a CFD-DEM simulation. From my results, I found that after applying coarse graining, the packed-bed pressure drop becomes smaller. Based on the literature I have read, this seems unlikely, so I am wondering whether I may have missed something in the setup.

Case details:
System: packed bed of glass beads
Coarse graining factor: 2
CFD cell size to particle diameter ratio is kept the same before and after coarse graining, in order to maintain grid-independent conditions
Cell size / particle size ratio in each direction: 2, 1.96, 1.96
Drag model: Gidaspow
Contact model: Hertz

My question is:
When applying coarse graining in this type of packed-bed simulation, do I need to adjust any parameters other than the coarse graining factor and the skin distance in LIGGGHTS?

Any advice or related experience would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
