Hello,
considering large amount of time lost to try and install (unsuccessfully) a working version to run the tutorials, it would be very interesting to have access to a pre installed virtual machine with OF +liggghts + cfdem coupling.
Does it exist somewhere?

sorry to say that there is no such thing. If you want to try DEM-only, you could test our new CFDEM(R)workbench (https://www.dcs-computing.com/cfdemrworkbench-overview) which runs on windows and allows for the set up of DEM calculations with a GUI.
At which point did you get stuck? Is OpenFOAM and/or LIGGGHTS running on your machen (which OS are you using?)
