Hallo,
I am doing a coupled CFDEM simulation with gas and particle flow. However I have the problem, that after the insertion of about 1000 particles my simulation significantly slows down. What can be the origin of this effect and how might this be prevented?

I'd recommend to have a look at the output of the simulation. Perhaps the calculation becomes unstable and the number of iterations goes up significantly? Otherwise, please post the log-file and more details about the case (number of mesh cells, ratio of meshcellsize to particle size, ...) and the log file of the simulation.
