Hi,
I'm running a case with an filtration application. It is laminar flow, a set of fixed particles as a membrane and some moving particles within the flow.
After a certain amount of time, the kinetic energy increases very fast and the run breaks up.
What could be the reason for the increase in kinetic energy?
I'm using colloid, yukawa/colloid and gran as particles are transportet to the 'membrane' and stick to it.
Colloid is modified, so that for small distances the energy does not go to infinity.
With gran, some particles stick to the 'membrane' and after some time I recognize increase in kinetic energy, although the sticking particles do not move. I don't see any error messages.
Any hint where to look for the/a problem is welcome.
Attached the input file of liggghts.
Best regards
Henrik

if anybody hit a similar
if anybody hit a similar problem,
with a timestep lower than 1% of rayleigh criterion the simulation runs stable
