Hi everyone,
I am working on separating magnetic particles from nonmagnetic particles on a vibrating screen. I want to set up magnetic force in LIGGGHTS and see how the particles will behave under the influence of magnetic force. Can anyone suggest how can I develop magnetic field? Please note that I will be using non-spherical dry particles and I will not use any coupling technique.

For your project on
For your project on separating magnetic particles in LIGGGHTS, you might want to explore the fix command for applying external forces, including magnetic fields. While developing your setup, consider how the interactions can influence particle behavior - much like how rice purity can reveal unexpected layers in social dynamics. Good luck with your simulation!

AtomVecSuperquadric::pack_border_hybrid is not implemented yet (
Hi Mariana, Thank you for your reply. I am using the following Github repository for the implementation of magnetic force: TJLeps/ LIGGGHTSwMAGNETICS: official release of the LIGGGHTS® DEM software, by DCS Computing GmbH. For further info, forums, and bug reports, please visit which takes into account the mutual dipole interaction of the particles. In my simulation, I am using superquadric particles. The case runs okay in a single processor, but it does not run in multiple processors. It shows the following error: ERROR on proc 1: function AtomVecSuperquadric::pack_border_hybrid is not implemented yet (../atom_vec_superquadric.cpp:720). I have run other cases on multiple processors, but they run well with super quadric features. Could you please suggest what is going wrong here? I am using atom style: hybrid dipole superquadric. The version is 3.8.0.
