When is the next release of CFDEM®coupling-public expected?

I‘m have been a user of CFDEM®coupling since 2017. It is a very good CFD-DEM coupling software, which benefits me a lot.
However, the latest version has released for about five years. Since then, the CFDEM®coupling-public hasn't been updated anymore. This is unfortunate news for academic users like me.
As a loyal user, I really want to know, will the CFDEM®coupling-public update again? If so, when is the next release expected?
I love CFDEM!
Looking forward to your answers.

Thanks Dr. Mschramm for sharing us this valuable information and the excellent work. I have another question about nonspherical particles interacting with fluid. As known to us all, in the public CFDEM version, we can only simulate the interactions between fluid and spheres. Then how can we simulate the interactions between fluid and nonspherical particles? Is there any extension on this? Thanks so much.

Hello,
The biggest issue is calculating the voidfraction for the CFD side of things.
For non-spherical particles, you will (probably) need to pass the euler angles to the coupling interface and find a way to better represent the particle's void fraction. Unfortunately, I do not have experience in this sector...
