Dynamical variations on parameters in a CFD-DEM simulation

Hello,
I wonder if it's possible to dynamically change parameters during a CFDEM simulation.
I mean, my purpose is to attribute a different atom type to all the particles that during the simulation get a particular cluster id that I've chosen.

Hi lesschares,

have you tried this already with a pure LIGGGHTS simulation and were you succesful?
If yes, it shouldn't be to hard to get it into a CFDEMrun
