I have installed CFDEM per the procedure given in pdf "githubAccess_public". My problem is when I run any examples following error appears:

Hello,
Hello,
did you check whether the installation worked out?
Type cfdemSysTest and see what you get...
Btw: what OS are you using?
Cheers,
Alice

Hello,
Hello,
do far, this looks good... all the critical pathes seem to be set cerrectly.
Did you already try to run the cases manually? (Just open the Allrun.sh and execute the commands step by step, to see where the error appears). Most probably the error appears in the very end of the example, when the results is shown as *.ps (and has nothing to do with CFDEMcoupling as such). If that's the case, check the installation of your postscript-reader...
Cheers,
Alice

Hi,
Hi,
I'd suppose it is something with octave, gnuplot or evince which is used for visualization of the result.
The error should not relate to the CFDEMcoupling itself.
Cheers,
Chris

I tried to solve the problem
I tried to solve the problem with Octave but I didn't get any results so, what version of Octave do you recomend? By the way, what OS do you recomend for using CFDEM? I ask for this because i have been reading about OS and i understood Ubuntu 12.10 is very inestable against Ubuntu 12.04 lts, Fedora or Linux Mint.
Cheers,
Felipe.

Hello Felipe,
Hello Felipe,
my current octave version is 3.2.4, which is the one that comes with Ubuntu 12.04. Personally I have no experience with 12.10, but I generally prefer lts-versions and I can recommend the one I'm using right now (12.04).
Cheers,
Alice
