Hey, i am totally new in CFDEM and i have already problems with the installation of CFDEM. i followed the instructions on githubAccess_public.pdf but there is still a problem:

after i updated CFDEM coupling (which was not needed to be updated) i wantedt to set the environmental variables. i followed the instructions and add the lines in the ~/.bashrc but there is still the message that there is no directory after i typed in the other commands:

what went wrong? i appreciate your help and advices!

best regards

Hello Rashid,
after adding the lines to the .bashrc file, you need to open a new terminal. Otherwise it is possible that the chages are not yet effective, even despite possibliy having typed "bash". In case the error-message persists, make sure that the location, given by the variable, and the location, where you copied the sources are the same...

Hello alice,
thank you for the answer. Unfortunatley i wasnt able to take a look at your answer and also not able to conitinue with the installation process until now. I did the things yoi adviced to me. Actually i am not sure if i understood the commands correctly so i desribe you what i did.
1) open terminal and execute command: gedit ~/.bashrc &
2) after that i have the bash on my screen with the following line on top of it:
#- source opt/openfoam220/etc

do i have completly add the lines, which are descibed on the githubacces.pdf without changing the line "#- source opt/openfoam220/etc" ?
its not working (directory not found) when i just add the lines neither when i replace this line with : #- source cfdem env vars
3) which location should be the same?

thank you very much!

could this problem have something to do with the fact that i have openfoam2.2.0 and openfoam 2.2.2. in my ubuntu version. openfoam 2.2.2. was installed due to the advice of the guthubaccess.pdf.
