submicron particles

Hi,

I am trying to track submicron particles, where I recieve error of small particles sizes, useing fix pour . however, in creation of single atoms there is no problem as I define diameter rather than radius there.

my units are all cgs. is there a way to solve this problem?

Thanks,
Vajiheh

the problem is machine precision of 1e-15, if you calculate the particle volume/mass. Even if you dont get an error, you will have issues with accuracy. So you will most probably have to switch to LJ units.

Hi Christoph

Out of curiosity, are all of LIGGGHTS' and CFDEM's features compatible with LJ units? (or any other of the unit systems for that matter).

Cheers
Evan

Dear all,

liggghts and also the coupling should be able to work in cgs system.
With the next release of the coupling I'll provide a testcase.

Cheers,
Chris
