Recomendated mesh size based on particlesize

Hello,
can some one say me, which CFD mesh size is recommendable in dependence of the DEM particle size?

I have done it approximately and got 0.02*radius, if some one want to calculate the fluid stream between the particles.
But this mesh size causes quiet a big mesh.

Can some one help me?

Hi Robert,

For solverpiso, I donot think mesh size can be smaller than radius of particles. Which solver have you used to calculate the fluid stream between particles?

For unresolved CFDEM calculations, the cell size must be larger than the particle size. I would keep the cell size between 3 - 10 times the size of the particles.
