The differences between "couplingInterval" and "couple/cfd couple_every"

Submitted by yirenxindudu on Wed, 02/06/2019 - 12:55

I am newer of CFDEM, recently I was confusing about the differences between "couplingInterval" and "couple/cfd couple_every".
"couplinginterval" locates in CFD/constant/couplingProperties, and "couple/cfd couple_every" is in DEM/in.liggghts_run
both of them are about the coupling properties of CFD-DEM calculation, but what's the difference between them?
Thank you very much!

Hi,

the important parameter is the couplingInterval in the couplingProperties dict. The mentioned value in the liggghts script is not used anymore (so it doesn't matter if this is wrong) and is only still there for guaranteeing backwards compatibility.

Cheers,

Alice
