Dear All
I installed the CFDDEM on my computer, the istallations seem to be complited, but then I am trying to test it by runing the mycfdem/settlingTest/Allrun.sh. and I get the message
wait for file "/opt/mycfdem/settlingTest/CFD/couplingFiles/x1"
and it wait forever
can anybody help me?
I never used the code.

Dear Esti,
seems like the DEM part of the code gets stuck somewhere,
the CFD part is working and waiting for the DEM side to receive the data.
Could you please try to specify your state more in detail .... (which terminalks do pop up, what is in the log files which are being written to the case directory....)

the terminalss that are opened are : 1.cfdemSolverPiso settlingTest CFD 2. (ir I kill the firs one )cfdemSolverPiso settlingTest DEM
3.(if I kill the second) in the original terminal I get mesage simulation finisehd? ...press enter to proceed. 4. after enetr.the pizza starting to run and I get the follow message

pleas try to remove those files that are located in:
.../CFD/couplingFiles/
these exchange fields - exchanging data between the codes are re-written every coupling timestep. In order to see whether the other program has already finished writing the filename is changed afterwards -
if this filenames are messed up - an error can occur.

Even after the removal of the coupling files the message is flashed

couple_every and trailing /
Hi guys,
Just for the record, I had the same problem and line 49 in DEM/in.liggghts_init from
fix cfd all couple/cfd/force 10 file ../CFD/couplingFilesto
fix cfd all couple/cfd/force couple_every 10 file ../CFD/couplingFiles/it worked. I had an error due to the missing "couple_every" and endless waiting for couplingFile x1 because of the missing trailing "/". The above fixed this, Hope it is of any help.

I had to change the thing with the trailing "/" for some odd reasons a few weeks ago
I think we should add the updated file coupling tutorial case also... Will talk to Chris about that.
