i have few questions in my mind..
1. How cohesive energy density (CED) is calculated? In my system i used 4% moisture content , how i can calculate CED for my system. is there any simple procedure for calculating the same?
2. which parameter in JKR model accounts for this ??? is it the same as Lamda??
Kindly help me if some one can answer
thanks

which cohesion model
Hello,
Which cohesion model are you using? SJKR1, SJKR2, ect...?
As far as I know, there is no equation that tells you that 4% MC --> a CED value of "x". Our lab has our own calibration methods to empirically calculate how much cohesion we need in a system.

Hi mschramm,
Hi mschramm,
I am using the SJKR model, which uses CED to characterize the cohesiveness in the system, however, I am struggling how to choose CED values.
Is there by any chance that you can share with us briefly the calibration methods that your lab used to empirically calculate how much CED you need?
Thanks so much.
